Thoughtful Gay Oddysseys

To my protector

who threw the wire cutters,

Please,

do you see

how you resemble

a jailer?

You keep the darlings

locked away,

in soft darkness,

for safety.

For this, I thank you.

And, dearest protector,

please,

notice

the crying.

Their tears ignite

tiny signal fires,

burning waters

with muted radiance.

As you walk the perimeter,

feeling strong and safe,

guarding darlings

from the world,

remember,

they want love too.
