Silence

Thoughtful Gay Oddysseys

If shame could speak, they wouldn't.

They simply sit

as the keystone

in the arch of my stomach,

holding wide the door

so that all may see inside.

A stone

surviving the quake

and shock

of no help.

Staggering absence

in pernicious quiet.

Silence

is the author of numerous scribbly journals, none of which will see the light of day. When they are not writing, you could find them reading, hiking, and laughing with their family in the parks and woods of the PNW.
